![]() It now has the option for an 8th seat – 2C (the LX is only available as a 7 seater). There are now tether anchors in every single seat and lower anchors in every seat except 3C. Click here to see how to connect, use, and disconnect these seat belts. With this redesign, 2C is now a legitimate, full-fledged seat – it even has both lower anchors and a tether anchor! It has a good head restraint and a shoulder belt that comes from the roof (like the one for 3C as well) – and yes, shoulder belts that come from the roof are safe. ![]() The 7 & 8 seater models are identical except for the 8 seater model adds an easily-removable seat in the 2nd row center. It is available as a 7-seater or 8-seater… and we STRONGLY encourage getting the 8-seater as you don’t want to lose out on the best seat of the house (2C). The Odyssey was redesigned for 2011 – and it was a marvelous redesign! The floor isn’t completely hollow – there is a wooden? door that lifts up to reveal the spare tire. You will need the front seat moved up in many cases to accommodate this.ĭespite what appears to be a hollow floor in the center, Honda does allow the use of a load leg in this center position. We’ve found that “walk-in mode” works best when you slide the seat forward as far as it goes (use lever under the vehicle seat) and then you tilt for walk in mode – as the weight distribution is more favorable this way. We think it is important to mention that tilting this vehicle seat was not the easiest – and one will need to be very careful to not let the seat accidentally drop on a person’s foot as they are walking into the 3rd row (this is not the same type of tilt like on a Chrysler Pacifica – in the Pacifica the vehicle seat will not accidentally slam back down if you let go for a second). To get 3rd row access with a car seat installed in 2D or 2P, you can use what Honda calls the “walk-in mode” which won’t disturb the installation of the car seat.
